Literacy - Comprehension and 'Using commas to add extra information'

Remember you put a comma before and after the extra information.

For example:-
The boy kicked the football. This is a sentence but we then add extra information about the boy.
The boy, who was called John, kicked the football.

Homework this week is to write a report on your visit to the William Morris Gallery on Friday. Your report should let your reader know, who William Morris was and what he was famous for. Also describe what you saw and anything you particularly liked or disliked.

2) Underline key words and numbers
3) Try and picture the problem mentally(or draw if it helps)
4) Decide on the numeric operator(s) required. Is it a one-step or multi-step
problem ?
5) Calculate
6) Estimate to check your answer is reasonable

If you would like to continue your work with LOGO that we have done in class, there is a slightly different version of LOGO than the one we have used, but it is free to download from the web.

You MUST ask your parents/guardians permission before downloading this from the internet.

The program is recommended by Newham ICT Scheme of Work and is therefore presumed safe to download.The link is :-
